Claude Now Generates Interactive Charts and Visualizations Inline — No Code Required
Anthropic has shipped a significant upgrade to Claude that allows it to generate interactive charts, graphs, and data visualizations directly within the conversation — rendering them inline rather than outputting code for users to run elsewhere. The feature activates automatically when Claude determines a visual would better serve a response: it renders bar charts for comparative data, line charts for time series, scatter plots for correlations, and network diagrams for relationship mapping, all in a format users can interact with by hovering, zooming, and filtering. The engine is powered by a combination of Recharts and D3, with Claude selecting visualization type, color palette, and layout based on the data structure and the apparent intent of the question. The update extends Claude's usefulness in data analysis workflows considerably — users can go from a CSV upload to chart exploration without leaving the chat interface or writing a single line of Python. The feature is live for Claude Pro and Team subscribers and rolling out to API users over the coming weeks.
